Do you know why it's broken, and how they have limited the repairs?

McDonalds corporate has mandated the specific ice cream machines for their franchise restaurants, with extremely tight tolerances for the self check cycle. McDonalds corporate also owns the corporation they have mandated to do the repairs to the ice cream machines. That's just another way McDonalds corporate screws their franchise owners out of more money.
