It was (and still is) being touted by some people (even on this very board) as some sort of miracle drug that was purposefully held back during COVID in favor of more expensive and profitable treatments. This despite there being no actual evidence that it helped with COVID at all. You claim it's one thing to say "it doesn't work" yet saying just that is what got so many people riled up. The "campaign to label it as unsafe" was in response to people taking versions meant for horses and other large animals and overdosing. That's part of the reason you jumping in every chance to mock the "horse drug" stuff is so disingenuous. It IS used in veterinary medicine and people were using the vet version of it on themselves. All because certain politicians and talking heads told them it was a wonder drug that the government was refusing to acknowledge. You should be infuriated but not for the reasons you claim.
