That's a good point. Heck of a tasty terrorist target, too, I would think.

I plan on getting solar of some type on my next house, as well as a cistern. There was a time when cistern water was all that could be had here. Now water is piped in from some spring in Miami (since WW2, I think). A cistern and solar power makes a lot of sense for me here, for lots of reasons. With solar on the roof, it collects sun for power, but also helps cool the house with shade, as one example. The rain water comes off the ocean, and is about as pure as it can get, it has been said. With a small enough house here, you could get by with no need for utility companies whatsoever. That hits a like button for me.

Solar is the lowest cost/unit of production, but I like nuke as well.
