The area that is pretty southern, that is southern red Oaks, Holly trees, loblolly pines inland in the upper dryer areas so it magnolia tree - at least a southern magnolia tree, there are other kinds of magnolia trees - might not be out of the question in the area, but I don’t know that Those fused flowers are pretty distinctively Mountain Laurels, probably read up and find out it's some sort of related species. (PS there are other members of the Kalmia Genus looks like several of them have the fused flowers) ** Edited by `lag at 5/13/2024, 3:06:51 PM
