Yep that album was a big deal, sorta came out of nowhere...
that nowhere being a highly accomplished jazz artist that only aficionados had heard of, making a nice pop/easy listening album that made him a ton of money that his jazz career would never have done, at least that's what I heard at the time.
Loved Masquerade. Yep great album that was everywhere at the time.
