My parents’ birth certificates, their marriage certificate

and the letter his parents wrote to the local recruiting office at Fort Wayne in Detroit giving their permission for him to volunteer in the Army and go off to WWII at age 17. Dozens of scrapbooks of photos of them having cocktails all over Europe, Africa, Japan and Colombia. And at every officer’s club from Germany, NoVa to Missouri and Colorado, Letters of thanks and commendation from ambassadors and Presidents. It’s a damned shame we couldn’t have built them a museum.
