A Homelink system.
Doubt it's the actual Homelink module since it opens the door, but the close button may be faulty.
If it appears to be the button, do a search for "OEM Parts" for your vehicle, and see if you can find the homelink button panel. If you have an older vehicle, you can probably find the entire system (module & buttons) on EBay for ~$50. I bought one to upgrade an 80s car with that system about 10-15 years ago for ~$35, so I'm guessing the price has risen, but not doubled yet...
