A biology related field at a university; biology, biochem, chem, botany, hort, etc. Makes letters and all that easier when applying to grad school. The pay will be min wage, but it can be fun. Can also check out any local biotech companies. I would call or email and not wait for a position to be posted. Be up front, looking for short term work before going to grad school in 2023. They might be happy to know that they will not have to commit long term to an employee with the current economy (not that they do that anymore...)
