Well, in the documents Turbotax generated for paying the new 2021 tax...
it printed the quarterly "coupons" for prepaying 2022. We are not expecting another similar payment and our witholding has always been more than enough. So you're saying the prepayment is optional, but that if we don't prepay and end up oweing we could be hit with a penalty?

Turbo Tax just assumes you'll get it again and need to pay estimates.

Prepayment is not mandatory, it is optional to avoid penalty.
