Yep, I had kids listed on my ancient honda prelude

but they drove all other cars. State Farm covered them on all cars even though their listed primary car was the old honda. Considered selling when we each had a vehicle - plus the old honda. But it actually saved me money to keep it and have them listed on the older vehicle than the increase would have been on the newer cars that they drove...uhmmm...occasionally...
