Williams- one of a kind!

First time I'm in LA I'm with my older brother (we worked for same company and were at meeting) and my bff from VT who came up from his Navy Air duty station in San Diego. The year was '78 so Robin was still working the clubs hard building his trade and reputation. We go to the Comedy Store have some drinks and are enjoying the acts. Robin shows up unscheduled and gives a 45 minute tour de force insane show unlike anything the three of us had ever seen! He was a whirling dervish, such animal energy, such amazing brain power! At one point I look around the room (light attendance that night) and I see Dick Van Dyke sitting at a table by himself about to fall out of the chair! That was one of those glad I saw him before he became a household name moments.
