Their contract stipulates camping is mandatory. TIC (kind of)

Rumor is that some of the people at many of these protests are not students at the universities where they are protesting. If that is true, those people don't have anywhere nearby to go "home" to/return from later. Additionally, from the protestors perspective, I'm assuming that they feel the camping part ups the annoyance and disruption to the campus/community.
