Day 2 of Elevation Vacation……..🦃❤️🥾🏔️
My goal today was to summit South Hayden Mountain at 13,215 via the Richmond Trail to Richmond Pass. Very nice trail with nice views, but very steep. The pass was loaded with snow, so I was not able to summit SHM. 5 miles round trip, with 2500’ of vertical gain, took me 5 hours. Very windy up high, so perhaps it was a blessing I did not go further up.
