pilot. My dad was career Navy, and he would always reply, "It's a good job if you live." After a few years of this, I finally asked him what he meant by that. He shared just a few stories, and I have never forgotten that conversation. I would have pursued being a pilot anyway, because like most young men, I thought none of that crap would happen to me. I was just more turned off by the # of years it would take to pursue it, before you actually were in a fighter jet.
