Your TSO would cringe at our "HR" structure.

Essentially, we don't have an HR person. Our poor CFO basically handles it all, on top of all her other duties. We're a small company (under 30 employees), so everyone wears multiple hats, and our policies are super lenient when it comes to PTO. Literally no one tracks how it is accrued, or how much someone has saved up or has used for the year. Most everyone just makes sure they take care of their stuff and fit in time off when they can, but occasionally people abuse it. The new guy seems to have figured out that part very quickly.
