pretty good wrestler (his buddy was VA state champion one year*) ranked in a regional association type stuff. Anyway, kept me abreast of all the martial arts type stuff, suggested I get a bo for my body type: (never got into it but liked the concept ) anyway, I learned about Chuck from the git-go when he was the bad guy from American to challenge the heros like Bruce Lee. Kind of surprised when this cult guy made it big and became a meme and everything. Don't know where I'm going with this other than being one of those guys from the way-back machine. * actually an age group up to age 19 so he won as a freshman at VT but in a category where you wrestled a lot fo high school kids too, obviously way before NCAA type stuff.
