Admit I’m looking in from out of state but both bills seem like self aggrandizing puffery by the sponsors. George Mason didn’t even exist unti 1957 as a branch of UVA. JMU was a women’s teachers college. Seems like weak tea if that’s the foundation argument. The former gov is gone and hopefully citizens will recognize the benefit of the school.
