They used to undercut most of their competition on price in the early years, but that's long gone. You can occasionally find cheaper prices on other websites, but even if that qualifies for free shipping, it usually takes at least a week to arrive. Amazon has some excellent original content and other good stuff, but they also mix in a lot of crap. It's almost like they look at their lineup and think, that just doesn't look like enough programming, so bring in more crap...lol I think all streaming services have excellent content.
