The final full day at high elevation. My wife and I decided to experience Lake City, Colorado via a downtown nature trail and car drive to the trailhead for Handies Peak and Sunshine/Redcloud Peaks. This area is filled with beautiful views and loads of colorful aspens. I also spoke with a Hokie who works in Richmond, but lives and works from a desolate cabin in the engineer pass area part time during the year until feet of snow force him back to civilization. I will be back in this area to resummit Uncompahgre and tag Handies and Redcloud/Sunshine Peaks. I have enjoyed sharing photos with you and I look forward to the next Elevation Vacation hopefully next June 🤞
