I feel ya. Thought my starter was bad in my '68 F250. A problem I could

easily fix fix before breaking my hip. Had it towed to a garage and was later informed it wasn't the starter, but the carb. Then the news that no one works on carbs anymore. Searched around and came up with a guy who works on old cars and trucks. Had it towed to his shop where he found multiple probs. Ended up costing by coincidence $5,600.
