Yes some of the Australian time zones are only 30 minutes different. We

were flying a lot and so it seemed like we were always an hour or two different after every flight. But in Alice Springs it was 30 minutes which seemed really pointless. It was also very hard to grasp that we left Fiji at 9 PM on a Thursday, flew for 10 hours, and landed in LA at noon on that same day. And they say time travel isn't possible.
