The answer is Eddie Eagan details inside
Eddie won the following golds (he is the only person to do this in different sports) 1920 Summer Boxing, 1932 4 man bobsled
He served in both wars was a Yale, Harvard (Law) and Oxford (Rhodes scholarship) grad. Married Margaret Colgate (yes the Colgate of Colgate Palmolive). He was a lawyer, lieutenant colonel in the Army AND was inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame. He won AAU boxing and was the British Amateur champ (first American). Quite the guy and this bit of trivia about Eddie: Eddie Eagan set a world record for the fastest circumnavigation of the globe by scheduled airlines on December 13, 1948. He traveled 20,559 miles stopping at 18 different stations and beat the previous record by 20 hours and 15 minutes
