I would be a bit nervous about buying in, even before this announcement. NVDA is priced for years of future profits. Very risky from that pov especially with this kind of news. A lot of those investors are Johnny-come-latelys and will get spooked out of the market as quickly as they came into it. Like someone said once, if the bums on the street have heard of a stock, it's probably overpriced. The bums have heard of NVDA by now. I'm still not impressed by AI. OK, I am eg, some device that detects cancer much earlier than a physician can looking at an Xray. Great. but... that's one small use case that of course could greatly improve someone's life but not really add wealth to the economy. Are there lots of use cases like that? Maybe/Dunno. Otoh, there was a three-story art exhibit at the MOMO in NYC AI generated art. Hated it, just bubbling and boiling and dots and an everchanging picture. Still kind of waiting for a real show-me moment: autonomous cars maybe? Put your destination in your car eg "Blacksburg" read a newspaper on your way there (w/o getting into an accident?) Maybe, gives you several hours of your time back while you travel. that would be useful. Heck, your car could be out Ubering while you sleep. who knows. But then again, I'm not aware of the thousands of project out there. I am worried about diminishing returns of computing though. at some point as marvelous as it is, adding more knowledge to an acre of farmland will not increase the amount of crops raised by much. I'd wait, I could see a second round of dropping. As always my thoughts are speculation and should not be considered as a solicitation of services or whatever else it is they put at the end of those info sheets. Consult your financial eight ball or even...wait for it... a financial AI application.
