Very sorry...it is absolutely crushing.

We lost our dog in early 2020...it was devastating, but not unexpected given that she was 16. I was very thankful that she passed peacefully on her own and we did not have to make the decision ourselves. My heart goes out to you...hang in there. My family is putting on the full court press to get another dog now, but I really don't want to do it, knowing I will likely outlive the dog and will have to go through it again. I'm not sure I have it in me, but the rest of the family doesn't seem to understand that.
