Dest, Weah, they are symptoms of a problem with the squad. Players

who don’t buy in and play hard for the badge and the flag. Players personal grievances first over team. Oh sure every game there are one or two players who stand out in terms of effort and heart, but it’s rarely more than that. It’s never a team effort. I feel for Pulisic because I see how much this means to him. I don’t think it means nearly as much for most of the others. And those players feel safe under Berhalter because they know that they’re never gonna be held accountable.
