Define "recent." Do you mean in the last year, or five years, or ten?

The golden age of the genre is certainly between the 60's and 90's with Mel Brooks, the Zucker brothers, and Monty Python. Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler carried the torch for a bit. The last one I can recall being laugh-out-loud funny was The Hangover, but that's 15 years old at this point. Heck, I'd call Thor Ragnorak a funnier slapstick movie than most true comedies these days.
