More money than all the Rolling Stone tours combined type stuff and I'm flabbergasted. I get it, of course, I'm in the same place that my parents were when rocknroll first hit, the music's not for me anymore, but man I've always regarded her as chick-lit (that's a condescension) and maybe can hum exactly one line - "she wears high heels, I wear blue jeans" - something like that. While driving around Oregon a month ago I was listening to the "The Coffee House" on Sirius radio (b/c that's where someone left the dial I guess) with an occasional TS tune and honestly I tried to listen with an unbiased ear. Nothing. If someone were to buy me a concert ticket, I'd go but just out of open-minded curiosity. She seems to have a pretty good shelf-life too, usually singers come and go with their particular generation of 14 yo girls growing up and she seems to be out-distancing that.
