Gobbler 1955

Seems to me VT had a QB who was "a beast" a couple of years ago, transferred, achieved modest success at the FCS level. Maybe Drones will be the man in 2023, but I doubt it. Too big a knowledge step and unproven - altho to be demonstrated - skills. GW will likely be QB1 and will perform better than is expected by some. Tuten may be a high level performer. RB is another position where size - and even speed - are only part of the equation. History - even VT history - is full of powerfully built RBs who do not excel. Plenty of burners ditto. It's a combination of vision, burst, lateral movement, balance, strength, endurance and attitude. Tuten has demonstrated it elsewhere. Hope he can continue it at VT. I am much more optimistic about this team than I was the 2022 squad. Hope it is not my rose colored glasses, but I think the team will perform much better, even if the W-L doesn't necessarily reflect it.
