I wonder what CFB will look like in 3-5 years in terms of viewership

Will the vast majority of fans lose interest simply because their team has no chance and because nattys are now basically purchased by donors who purchase coaches and the best players. Will fans be too nauseated by the obscene money being thrown at these kids (NFL is crazy too but at least the NFL players proved themselves over the years to be elite) My attitude is that I watch VT no matter what. I'll watch the CFB playoffs about like I watch the NFL...which is very casually if I'm not busy. I don't have an NFL team so I pull for different teams based on their story and their players in any given year. The same goes for the professional teams in the CFB playoffs. I'll watch but I'm detached, other than seeing certain fan bases crash to the earth like a meteorite. Hi Miami. The Arms race started several years before NIL with head coach and assistant coach salaries. The best players wanted to play for the position coaches and teams that prepared them for the NFL. Same playoff teams most years. The bowl opt-outs became normal and the bowl games began to lose their meaning. 2024 NIL + Portal = Auctions. Deepest pockets = best players and best coaches = playoffs. 2024 Playoffs showed us the VAST difference between a lower playoff team and Deep Pockets Elite. It also showed us home field advantage....it's too cold for da fooseball......get over it and win the game on the field. Cookie dough soft TN and SMU. Something has to be done to regulate the NIL spending or we can simply watch donors buy nattys.....and watch these lunatics with their gigantic egos paying teenagers money that would make the NY Yankees blush. I don't blame the kids or coaches but I don't like what CFB has become. We like sports drama, we like underdogs, we like good stories like Hoosiers, 1980 Lake Placid, Billy Mills and back in 1979 when Rocky beat Creed in the Olympics.

I will continue to watch zero CFB, even if VT is in the playoffs.

You’d really not watch VT in playoffs?
