So after being shut out 28-0 in the first half, you get handed an incredibly unlikely gift in the form of VT's 2 best offensive players committing back-to-back turnovers on their own 25, that lets you get back into the game, put it within striking distance. By the 4th quarter, you're down 14 with 8 minutes left, and you're lining up for a field goal? You're down 2 possessions, and now you want to make sure you need an additional 2 possessions, with 8 minutes left? And you've already given up 35 points and like 250 rushing yards? What makes you think you're going to get some defensive stops now? Are you expecting to be handed another 2 turnovers? Finally, the cherry on top is starting to call timeouts with 4 minutes left, down 42-21. Oh, now you want to manage and preserve the game clock? After spending almost the whole game seemingly unaware of how little time remaining there was to try to get back into the game?
