Not necessarily an issue we as a fanbase have to worry about currently…

But the biggest argument for an expanded playoff to me is that If losing to the #3 team in the country on the road in front of 110k fans by a single score after going 11-0 with the #6 Strength of Schedule essentially eliminates you from CFP contention, there’s s problem. I don’t quite understand how one semi popular opinion is that expanding to 12 teams “diminishes the value of big games like Michigan-OSU” when you’d be replacing them with #8vs#9 and #7vs#10 matchups for example which would be (bama/missou) and (Texas/PSU) this year.
