That is an excellent point, and a great illustration of some problems...

I like to bet sometimes, but just the basic kinds of bets. Win, or cover type. There is far too much money, bet on too many "odd" bets. Like the one you mentioned. Too many ones where individuals, not teams, decide the outcome of those bets, and far too often, not really affecting the actual game result. The Broncos-Seahawks Super Bowl. First play from scrimmage. A bad snap, due to an apparent miscommunication, leads to a Safety. Just some really bad football there, in a game where the Broncos got mashed 43-8, after being down 36-0, the worst start for one team in a Super Bowl? Or was there some kind of prop bet, for a Safety being the first score of the game, or somebody bet that the first play from scrimmage, would be a score? Was there such a bet available? Did someone then turn off the game, get paid at unbelieveable odds, and then went to buy a big house with cash, or the world's most expensive car? If this happened, was this person even a fan of the NFL? These kinds of bets, can involve just a few players, or even just one player, without the knowledge of coaches, or the teammates. Now, I have no specific knowledge, here. Maybe it was just as it appeared to be - simply a really bad, disjointed play. Where there is smoke, there is fire. Sometimes, what you think is smoke, is something else. So, not everything that you think is out of line, is actually out of line. But sometimes, it is smoke. To quote Led Zeppelin...
