They are and some of the disparities support that assertion.

I haven't done a thorough analysis but I did notice some discrepancies between the 2025 team recruit rankings and the actual on-field results. LSU and Clemson were ranked sixth and seventh in overall talent and they had mediocre seven win seasons. Penn State was ranked tenth and they had a mediocre seven win season. Florida and Auburn were ranked 12th and 13th in the talent rankins and they had horrible losing seasons. South Carolina and Florida State were ranked 18th and 19th in the team talent rankings and they both had horrible losing seasons. Vanderbilt was ranked 55th in the talent rankings and they had a strong season. There are many factors that impact a season. The games aren't played on paper. Coaching also plays a role in developing the talent and making the right decisions during games. I still say that RECRUITING RANKINGS ARE BS!!!!!!
