Considering NIL incentives to Play

I share your interest in building incentives/consequences into the NIL system because the last few seasons have been very frustrating when highly paid players simply opt out of the bowl games because they see limited personal benefit. That said, the NCAA rules currently view NIL as having no direct relationship to on-field performance. Since the rules currently prohibit “pay for play” terms, a reevaluation of NIL will be required to allow these type of incentives.

I saw a comment about bowl games, and I was reminded of the dire situation

Interesting idea. Also with NIL contracts starting to add incentives
