His first few years PSU experimented with a modified slower type of spread offense, which was popular at the time. Then his last few years was when Bill O’Brien came in with a more pro style multi TE approach. So he was influenced by what he experienced as a player. NFL type systems work over time and are reliable and help prepare players for the move to the NFL. But they also might require talent to succeed more than some other styles.
