Then who would be on a realistic list of VT's peers? Right now it seems

like VT may be at a crossroads of sorts. As a result, the fan base (even a portion of it) may need to recalibrate the various reference points for the program. If VT football is no longer considered to be "big time," then does that suggest VT may be more on par with programs from the AAC, C-USA, MAC, MWC, and Sun Belt? I know a large portion of the fan base would say "no" because VT is still in a group that is in between the P2s and G5. Is that a knee jerk reaction though? It may be a question worth asking if that position is only a temporary one because it is destined to eventually merge with the G5s.
