Also, implement a card system like soccer, if it truly is violent and intentionally egregious, immediate red card and ejection, if not give a yellow and a warning. Kids don’t deserve to be put on the sidelines for some of these. Another problem I have is why every rule for safety seems to benefit the offensive player. I feel like 9 times out of 10, the defender called for targeting already is going into his motion to tackle before the offensive player lowers their head after the fact, which causes helmet to helmet contact. Bottom line, something needs to change.
