FWIW they are a member of the Big Ten for men's ice hockey (not sure if

they sponsor women's ice hockey or not), so they may not see it that way. Plus, they may think the Big East will give them a sweetheart deal for their other Olympic sports. Particularly if it means NBC can broadcast more of their games. Heck I guess there is even the possibility of NBC creating the "Big East Network" via NBC Sports/Peacock instead of a completely separate channel.
