Babcock conducted the negotiations under the watchful eyes of
Rocovich, McCarthy and Pearson. This wasn’t like in prior years where Babcock was the sole decision maker.
And yes, you can say he “earned’ a graceful transition into retirement, but that retirement should be much sooner than later, like the end of December at the latest.
