The other thing that stands out is number of plays

Under Bowen, VT had 720-850 total offensive plays for each year. The teams under PM had 900-1000+ total offensive plays for each year. and this is a key area where Pry has to let PM run the offense how he wants. It needs a fast pace and more opportunities. But this might be hard for Pry as a defensive coach since the old school way of thinking is that the offense should use some clock and let the defense rest.
