Some 3rd Party NIL companies are even registered in Delaware

Delaware requires minimal public information about ownership, board members, or internal governance. For collectives funded by boosters, this allows more privacy around who is involved and how decisions are made. NCAA guidance requires collectives to be “independent” entities, not controlled by the athletic department. Incorporating out‑of‑state helps reinforce that separation on paper, even if the donor base overlaps heavily with university supporters. Win Win

The vetting process is clearly in beta testing, or toothless.**
Techsupport 01/13/26 10:03 AM ET
It's toothless already.

NIL is not from the school.
TheFacts 01/13/26 09:59 AM ET
Which just shows revenue sharing is more or less meaningless
Vippie1 01/13/26 10:22 AM ET
It might not happen, but they'll want a cap.
TheFacts 01/13/26 11:40 AM ET
They cannot put a "cap" on it. The courts have already ruled against that.**
AirborneHokie96 01/13/26 12:34 PM ET
Correct. They will have a money advantage via 3rd Party NIL. **
AirborneHokie96 01/13/26 10:23 AM ET
The Hokie NIL collective doesn't even share it's own financial data
AirborneHokie96 01/13/26 10:17 AM ET
Thank you. I was just curious**
