Pete Carroll, JIm Harbaught, Jimmy Johnson, and Barry Switzer all had

success at both levels. If your criterion for success is not getting fired from an NFL head coaching job, then basically the only good coaches are a few who simply retired. Because everyone gets fired eventually -- unless they retire first. Switzer, Johnson, and Carroll all one super bowls and had elite college teams as well. All three won super bowls and national titles.
