You hit the fact.
VT will not win by hiring a new coach. The only way to be a competitive football program in this new era of SEC/BIGTEN dominance is to match money, facilities, fan support, and, finally, athletes from the top high school sources.
Otherwise, VT and its like will sink into greater mediocrity.
I've come to live with that reality. I watch games of teams with talent. It's easier on my aging spirits.
