charter. After a bumpy early flight, then some partying on the trip down, we arrived to happy hour at the hotel. I must say that the next morning was a bit challenging. It was one of my favorite trips though. It was truly the beginning of the “Beamer Ball” era in a national media sense. I imagine that a lot of people who were there would agree with me that the game had a bigger feel than it was. Tech was on the rise and optimism abounded. The win, the subsequent celebration, and the momentum it brought was foundational. The last thing I will never forget about the trip was the pounding in my head on the flight home. But it was all worth it.
