The ACC is in breach of contract and Notre Dame is seeking to terminate

the relationship immediate. Also, Notre Dame will be seeking punitive damages in the sum of the amount of money Notre Dame would have earned if it had received a FBS Playoff bid X 40%. Notre Dame will be leaving the ACC immediately and rejoining the Big East effective July 1, 2026 (or whenever the legal matter has been resolved).
