BVP has been playing hurt for most of the second half of the season - and poorly at that. His shooting has dropped off and seems a step slower. This allows Ryan Dunn and Kadin Shedrick more minutes - and uva becomes 10x more athletic with legit rim protection, compared to a lineup of BVP and Gardner. Bennett has started to run sides again grinding the game down and the guards are attacking more. There’s more open 3s by better shooters than BVP again. The place it hurts the most is experience and leadership. A guy like him (much like storm Murphy) who may have not great impact scoring always had a major impact in game management. Biggest issue will be foul trouble with now only 3 true 4/5s other than Gardner, and all 3 are foul prone. Overall, Uva is now a better team but this injury hurts the most due to the time of year it happened, when experience wins games.
