A few observations re: last night's OT win...

In an ironic twist, Amani seemingly almost won us the game and lost us the game, scoring big baskets and getting a ton of rebounds, but in only going 2 for 8 almost lost the game, too. Gotta work on that. Dorn had a good game, but he needs to pull down more that just 2 D/zero O rebounds in 31 minutes. Ben Hammond....wow. Thank you for your energy and effort...keys to the win! Pasha came in and missed an open shot, quickly committed a foul, and was removed for the rest of the game. He looked kinda lost and hopefully he can redshirt. Too many early fouls almost derailed the game. Many were ticky tack, but need to realize that that's the way the refs for this game are going to call it, and learn from that, adjust. Neo is growing into the US college game by the minute, will keep working on his defense and his role in the offense. Really good, important win for so many reasons. GO HOKIES!

Many times Dorn was blocking out a couple of players that allowed a teammat

Dorn doesn't scare me but marsupials do.**

IMO, Dorn does a good job of blocking out his man

I don’t see Dorn significantly improving his rebounding

I agree, Dorn is timid and seems to have no strength in his hands**

Dorns hands are not exactly magnets. I hope his problem is just adjusting

I'd argue our foul trouble was a decent sign of more defensive effort. I

I do not like to complain about officiating as I think it’s a tough job,

If we commit a foul, I expect it to be called. I hope we won’t commit

Good thing the refs gave us a break last night when Hansberry charged and

It’s almost impossible to draw a charge. They changed that rule last year.

That is a fair point - I think what has been hard for our games is the

Guards got 18 rebounds and Amani 14. Many of those were because Dorn was

I agree that the last call on Neo was absurd. A phantom slap on the arm.

Yeah that might be the best solution**
