We have a good coach that knows talent and basketball He has put together a lot of guys that could be a great team In the portal era will they buy in? Will they dedicate themselves to things like team defense, the extra pass, the win at all costs mentality? Will they trust their high caliber coach to listen to him? Or will they succumb to the portal era mentality of “me first” and worry about stats and their next level and whatever and refuse to do what it takes to be a TEAM? You won’t know in game one but give it a few weeks and you will know. And that will determine if we are talking high level sweet 16+ potential or another frustrating season of a couple high quality wins mixed in with a couple terrible losses and constant never know what you are going to get. Just once I would like to see someone say “team matters” and sacrifice a couple ppg to say “I got ball and he ain’t scoring” and go make this the beautiful game it was meant to be. Poetry in motion.
