Hope I’m Not stepping on any toes with this and if so, hopefully no harm and enough time has passed that the parties can laugh. When Krabbendam arrived at Tech for his official visit ( I seem to recall it being in June or maybe early July) I was over at the Coliseum and met him and the lady that was with him. Shook hands, talked very briefly and he seemed very polite but very shy and quiet. Watched him play a bit before leaving. Didn’t know if the female was a friend, sister, relative or girl friend but guessed girl friend. Just a guess though. Skip forward to next day and I am at the Roanoke airport waiting to board a plane to travel to an AAU event. Can’t recall where I was headed. Robert was presumably headed home. As I got in line to board I noticed a really tall guy well ahead of me boarding the flight. It was Robert and we were on the same connecting flight. He ended up being seated 1 row in front of me and to the left of me. As we waited to takeoff, while other people are still boarding I got confirmation that the female with him was a girl friend. They were going at each other like crazy. Making out like a guy just released from a 10 year prison sentence. Robert was no longer the shy, bashful young man of the day before. It was pretty crazy and I looked around and there were several other people glued to the show going on in 12A and 12B. They didn’t come up for air until we literally were taking off.
