5 top 100 recruits: 1- Rodney Rice 2- Joe Bamisle 3 - Jalen Cone 4 - Darius Maddox 5- Gurdak 5 top players over his tenure: 1 - Keva Aluma 2 - Hunter Cattoor 3 - Justin Mutts 4 - Storm Murphy 5- Grant Basile So none of his most highly touted recruits panned out or stayed long term: Joe Bamisle- too raw bad fit for MY system picked it up too slowly. Rodney Rice- had terrible injury luck? and eventually assistant that recruited him left and Rice followed. Jalan Cone - ended up that his size made him to much of a defensive liability in ACC and he transfered down for PT Maddox - was slow to learn system especially defense and once light went on he did not stay long due to family issue pulling him back home to DC. Gurdak - TBD Whereas MY best players came from transfers 4 and 1 was least highly touted recruit Hunter Cattoor. Hopefully this bodes well for future, as recruiting good fits to his system from portal will be key.
